Celebrating FiftyNorth: Senior Saturday
We are thrilled to announce a very special partnership for our upcoming Senior Saturday on June 20, 2026. We are joining our friends at FiftyNorth in celebration of their landmark 50th anniversary. To honor five decades of their incredible service to the Northfield area, we are inviting the community to gather at the riverfront for a morning dedicated to our senior neighbors, filled with local talent, fresh finds, and shared history.
The celebration is made even brighter thanks to the generous support of the Northfield Rotary Club, who recently awarded Riverwalk Market Fair a $500 grant. We will be putting this gift directly into the hands of our community by distributing $5 tokens to seniors during the event. These tokens can be used to purchase fresh, locally-grown produce from our market vendors. We are deeply grateful to the Northfield Rotary Club for helping us make healthy, local food more accessible while we celebrate this golden anniversary with FiftyNorth.

Annual poster art competition
Our annual poster design tradition is one of the most heartwarming ways we connect with our incredible local talent. Each year, we eagerly invite our neighbors—the talented artists of our community—to share their vision for the Riverwalk Market Fair. The design chosen by our Board of Directors becomes so much more than a poster; it’s a celebration of RMF spirit and a beloved keepsake, immortalized on beautiful prints and our reusable bags. Every sale of these special items directly nurtures and supports the vibrancy of the market, weaving our local artists directly into the fabric of our success!

We are now accepting submissions for the annual poster art competition. The winner will receive $200 to pay for rights to use the artwork on RMF's website, social media, print media, poster, and more. RMF will create a social media post promoting the winning artist and their work. Artwork portrait orientation is preferred. Only feature art is requested, we will develop the border. Summer 2026 special events
While we think every Saturday at Riverwalk Market Fair is pretty special, there are a few that offer a little something extra:

May 23: Pumpers in the Park at 5pm

June 13: Library story time at 10:45 am

June 20: Senior Saturday in partnership with FiftyNorth (every senior gets a $5 token to spend on produce!)

July 11: Northfield Jazz Festival happening around town, with special jazz performers at Riverwalk Market Fair on July 4 and 11; Library story time at 10:45 am

August 1: Vintage Band Festival

August 8: National Farmers' Market Week and Library story time at 10:45 am

October 10: Fall Celebration to thank our vendors. Every vendor gets a free stall this Saturday!
