Riverwalk Market Fair: The art of a summer Saturday since 2010

Riverwalk Market Fair is an open-air Saturday market located along the beautiful Cannon River in historic downtown Northfield, Minnesota. This summer Saturday fair offer locally grown produce, artisan foods, and a juried selection of art work. Each Saturday provides a different mix of special events, musical entertainment and activities for the whole family.

History

Founded in 2010 by local artists and entrepreneurs with the help of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, this one-of-a-kind Saturday open-air market showcases produce from local farmers, artisan foods and a variety of fine art and fine craft by Northfield area artists. Originally started as a venue for local entrepreneurs to market their products, the Riverwalk Market Fair has become a valued community asset where local residents gather as well as a popular destination for visitors from the Twin Cities and beyond.

Where and when:

Riverwalk Market Fair operates Saturdays 9 am -1 pm from Mid May to Mid-October (except for the weekend of Defeat of Jesse James Days in September). The Fair is located in the heart of downtown Northfield, Minnesota along the scenic Cannon River. Historic Northfield is located just six miles from Interstate 35 where State Highways 19 and 3 intersect.
