Community Partner Rules

Riverwalk Market Fair is happy to work with Northfield-area nonprofit organizations that wish to be part of the Saturday markets.

Requirements for Participation

  1. Complete the application​​

  2. Complete the City of Northfield's required Indemnity Agreement (included in application)

  3. Pay the $35 booth fee each week. Nonprofits do not pay the $25 application fee.

  4. Check with the Market Manager for date availability.

  5. Tent and equipment: If a tent is needed, please contact the Market Manager and use of a Riverwalk Market Fair tent can be arranged, if available. If you bring and set up your own tent, you must provide 30-lb weights on each tent leg. Tents are not required. Tables, table coverings, displays, and chairs will always be your responsibility.

  6. Youth activities: With Riverwalk Market Fair's approval, your organization is welcome to provide free, family-friendly activities in the tent. You will be responsible for maintaining the activities and clean-up afterwards.

  7. Sale of products: Selling products is permitted only with Riverwalk Market Fair's approval, payment of a $25 application fee, and after submitting a Minnesota Certificate of Sales Tax Compliance (Form ST-19) to the Market Manager. Please see the Department of Revenue's website for current forms and information on how to obtain a Minnesota State Tax ID number, and to understand what is considered taxable or nontaxable under Minnesota law.
